I wanted to take a moment to apologize for my abrupt derailment of our publishing schedule. Unfortunate, death can be abrupt as it was in this case. In April, my father suffered a heart attack, which, coupled with his muscular dystrophy and a myriad of other ailments, proved too much for his body to handle. After three weeks under heavy sedation, he passed from this world.
In the span of 18 years, I lost both my parents. More importantly, I lost two dear friends. And while I have a lifetime of memories, it will never replace having them here in the flesh. But at least I have those thoughts to help keep me pushing forward. Not everyone can say that.
I’m getting back into reading through submissions and to posting acceptances. It’s starting off slowly, but we’re getting there. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience.
