New feature: How I Write

I’m a big fan of Lifehacker and their series, How I Work, which gives readers a glimpse into the workflow of people in a variety of industries. I’m also a big fan of The Linux Setup, which looks at the hardware and software people use in their daily lives. So, I decided to do what came natural and created a similar format for Stepping Stones.

Taking a peek into the day-to-day of other writers can be both entertaining and even a little motivating. Being a writer means spending a lot of time alone with your work. Ever wonder of other writers go through similar situations? Here’s a good chance to find out.

It’s also a good way to discover new work processes, apps, tips and other things you may have considered. And as writers, we love discovery, right?

I’ve volunteered myself to be the first guinea pig… um… volunteer for the segment. This week, I will forward questionnaires to people in my contacts list. Participation is completely optional.

Can’t wait to join the fun? You can send a quick note to with How I Write in the subject field and we’ll get a questionnaire out to you promptly.
